He did an awesome work by creating SWD. You can fight with monsters for level up with nice middle-earth swords. You can use magics. You can chat with other players of many countries, Also you can fight them. You need to be a good fighter to beat other players of various country. CHAT AND FIGHT< Sounds cool huh? Yup, it is. Gene made the characters look great. There are both male and female characters. For play this game, no sign up required. You just need ADOBE FLASH PLAYER TO PLAY IT.MEET THE PLAYERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD BY PLAYING FREE.

Clans:
Sherwood dungeon has many clans of each servers(Emerald, sapphire and Ruby server). Clans contain a lot of members from international. Clans train their members how to be a good fighter, good player etc. Clans are helpful. Clans are team with a lot of members. Every clan has their own websites. You can also make a new clan. Every clans have their own base room. For example about a clan:
COL is a clan. COL=Children Of Light created by three players of sherwood. They have over 200 members, they have their own website.: www.children-of-light.net78.net
Also DV is another clan. DV-DeoVolente. They have also much members. They also have their own website. They are allied with Children Of Light clan.
There are over hundreds of clans. The best thing is, There are also clan wars like how the kingdoms fought at the middle age! Sword Battle against clans. This is cool also. You can feel free to join any clan for get helps.
Groups and Fighting tournaments:
There are many groups founded by players in SWD. They are almost like clans but most of them don't have RANKS like clans. Groups have fighting tournaments. Some of them are Yearly, Monthly or weekly. Fighting tournament means You should fight other players and if you can win you will promote to the next round. Like FIFA world cup....lol You will once get up to finale and if you can beat your opponent you will be awarded THE BEST FIGHTER title or some clans give Pets as prizes. This is a great way to earn joy.

Monsters:
There a lots of monsters in sherwood dungeon. Such as: Giant spiders, Darkblood riders, Skeletons, Shadow minions, Giant Dragons. Some of them are easy to kill and some are hard. You can fight them just for level up.
Pets
For give players more entertainment, Gene added pet system. But this thing is not free. You need to pay $5 for every pets. There are horses, unicorns, lions, characters as you, skeletons, shadow pets etc. Buy them for fun! You can ride horses!
Places of sherwood dungeon.
There are cool different places in sherwood dungeon. You can select one world as your choice. You need to type for every places. See down:
Type /teleport1 to go to Sherwood castle.(Starting point)
Type /teleport2 to go to hunted palm island.
Type /teleport3 to go to frost bite island.
Type /teleport4 to go to water island.
Type /teleport5 to go to ancient island.
Like this, you can go up to /teleport9 Midnight glade.
Chatting with other Players
Once you are in the game, you can talk to other players by typing what you want to say into the chat console and press <Return> or <Enter> to send. Your message will be sent to all the other players in the area and appear in their chat console. Remember, don't tell anyone private information.
Logging into the game information:
Sherwood Dungeon does not require you to sign up for an account. From the guest login screen, enter the name you would like in the game world where it says "Character Name" and press the <Start Game> button. For privacy, don't use your real name and don't give any other players personal information during the game, even if they claim to be Sherwood Dungeon or Maidmarian.com staff. Please click the SherwoodDungeon.com <Rules of Conduct> on the Login screen for additional information regarding privacy and safety.
You can use the <Create Free Account> button to become a Sherwood Dungeon member. This allows you to reserve a character name and access your character from other computers.
